Erie Steel "Big Smiles" Late October 2011

Well what can I say......Late October Happy Fishermen & Ladies.
The Pictures tell a 1,000 stories ! Saturdays water & fishing was a little difficult
but Sundy ,was Game On,at least for me.
Saturday AM,found me scouting the water,waiting for better conditions,so I was road-fishing. I was invited by some freinds to come over for lunch @
John & Bernies Buffet @ Follies End,and was it GOOD ! Swedish-Meatbals & Kraut,Haluki (spelling ?) and Bacon Strips over an open fire,with College footbal on the deck, ........ it was a real feast.
Late Saturday afternoonfound me on the water,where my day started to go amiss......... a conforntation with a lawbreaker & later,a broken rod,to fiish my day early.......Fish win Game on Saturday.

It's all about that "Big SMILE",it made my day !

Sunday brought much better conditions & a much better day for me. I got to
try out my new Hydros Rell on my back up rig,& on my fifth cast,of the day,I
had Fresh Steel to the bank,a good start. I rolled a few, lost a couple more,when
I noticed an angler aproaching me,from down stream. We exchange gratings & some small talk,& I began fishing again.
It was not long after that,I hear "Can you help me ?" It was Tina,who had gone upstream from me to fish,& she was hooked-up. I headed upstream to offer my assistance,to her,in any way I could. I said "I have no net,but I'll be happy to
Coach you,we'll have to beach em' like a whale". Well Tina just did fine,and you can see by her pictures & the BIG Smile ! It sure made my day ! Thanks Tina !
your smaile brought some-more sunshine to my day !

Another one bites the dust !

Stan is a freind of mine from Center County,we met several years ago,
Steelhead fishing in Erie. Stan has a passion for Caribou hunting,like
no-one I know. He has several P&Y & Safari Club,high scores,and has
sucessfully hunted,all sub-species of North American Caribou,in Canada
& Alaska. I gave him the nick-name Dances With Caribou,many years ago.
